Help Now, one step at a time
Choose lost phone, lost wallet, stranded or reach someone in Help Now. Select Done to record a completed step, or I can’t do this for an alternative. Continue for now leaves that step unfinished. Something else lets you change situations without clearing your progress.
Progress is stored encrypted for 24 hours after your last update. On a verified phone call, accept the offer to resume recent help to share your latest checkpoint with the assistant. Web progress summaries are currently in English. Steps marked done are self-reported; messages, calls and rides still need their own confirmation. Phone advice does not automatically mark web steps done. Use Review progress or start over to revisit steps left for later.
Help with OperatorDirect
Status updates by phone (when enabled)
Status calls are disabled by default. Owner-only testing additionally requires an explicitly allowlisted account and exact verified phone. The opt-in proposal adds versioned own-phone consent, two attempts per account and destination per UTC day, and global limits. All status calls additionally require independent phone-possession verification. The default-off Verify my phone by call page requires separate pilot approval for your exact account and saved phone before requesting one generic code call after password recheck. Enter the code only on that page, never in chat or to the assistant. A matching server-side provider check grants expiring possession proof, not consent or permission to make status calls. A new verification, phone change or opt-out invalidates previous proof; unknown outcomes never trigger automatic redial or SMS fallback. For an unresolved verification, give its support request reference to an operator. Recovery cannot grant possession or retry a call. Third-party collection is disabled during owner-only testing. When available, open Status updates by phone in your Help Kit to preview an exact source, update, destination and time, then confirm with your account password. Your account phone needs a new PIN and passphrase verification; scheduling must fit before its expiry with a two-minute margin, and opt-out invalidates pending reviews; no private update is read before the delivery PIN check.
Collection calls require separately approved recipient consent and at most three approved questions. The AI identifies itself, asks permission to report back, and reads each answer back for confirmation. Wrong person, refusal and opt-out stop the call. Unconfirmed answers remain unknown. A report is a separate owner delivery requiring its own approval.
One attempt, up to five minutes, during 09:00–20:00 in the reviewed destination timezone. No recording, detailed voicemail or automatic redial. Cancellation stops local content immediately; provider hangup can remain pending or unknown. Provider and carrier charges may apply.
Your operator is an AI assistant, not a human.

Add OperatorDirect to contacts Open the downloaded contact card to save the number on your phone.
OperatorDirect is not an emergency service. If you're in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.
Get set up before you need it
- Create an account with your email address and your own mobile number. Use your account password to sign in to the website.
- Open Line in your Help Kit and choose Change PIN or passphrase. Set a PIN of 6–10 digits and a passphrase of at least three words and 12 characters. Choose everyday words that are easy to say and hear.
- Add people you trust in Contacts, then save the bank numbers, carrier details and travel bookings you'd want if your phone or wallet went missing.
- Check that your line says Ready, then make a practice call. Print a wallet card with the number and calling steps.
The dashboard’s readiness prompts show specific gaps: a missing or backup callable contact, carrier name or support number, line credentials, a locked line, and your first successful call. Each setup link opens the relevant field. Two contacts with the same phone number count as one callable number. Prompts refresh after edits.
Your website password, phone PIN and spoken passphrase are separate. Keep your PIN and passphrase memorized; the wallet card doesn't include them.
To help your people save the number, email selected contacts the OperatorDirect help line. Choose contacts with email addresses, review the message and contact-card attachment, then explicitly confirm before sending. This is a shared help line, not a personal number where people can call you directly. Each person receives a separate email. Your sign-in number, PIN and passphrase are never included. Submitted for delivery does not mean delivered; an uncertain send is not retried automatically.
After signing in, choose Account details in the navigation to view your permanent account ID and current email. If an older session cannot open the page, sign out and sign in again. Sharing an account ID does not grant diagnostics access or enable call capture.
Call from a borrowed phone
- Dial the lineAny phone works1-844-HELP-077
- KeypadYour number, then PINPress # after each
- Say passphraseAfter the toneSpoken, never typed
- Ask for helpIn your own wordsContacts, details, next steps
- Say yesBefore anything is sentOr a call is connected
- Dial the OperatorDirect line.
- Say your own account phone number digit by digit, including the area code. If using the keypad instead, enter the number then press #. For an international number, include the country code. Use your number, even when you're calling from someone else's phone.
- Enter your OperatorDirect PIN, then press #, or simply say it digit by digit (for example, “two four six eight one oh”).
- After the tone, say your passphrase clearly.
- Once you're verified, tell the assistant what you need.
If the number you're calling from links to exactly one account, the line goes straight to the PIN prompt, without asking you to press or say one. A locked account keeps the initial choices so you can use another account or website sign-in. Silence repeats the PIN prompt, subject to the existing no-input limit. Say menu at that prompt for account choices, website sign-in or signup, up to three times per call. Opening the menu does not reset verification or account-change limits. If this is a shared or reassigned phone, use your own account. At the ordinary call PIN prompt, say different account or press star, then pound to change accounts, up to three times per call. Changing accounts does not reset failed verification attempts. This option is unavailable during website sign-in or scheduled callbacks. Follow the prompts to finish verification. Calling from the app opens your phone calling app; being signed in does not verify the phone call. You can speak your account choice, phone number and PIN without opening the number pad. Once verified, recognized callers hear a short next step; current rides, recent help and trips still take priority. Register your other phones (home, work, a partner's) under Calling numbers in Phone & profile so the line can recognize them too. Shared phones are allowed. If a number links to more than one account, the line asks you to enter your own account phone number without listing accounts. Registering a number does not verify ownership. You still enter your PIN and say your passphrase, except when the usual recently verified callback rules let you skip the passphrase. Removing a registration affects future caller-ID recognition, not an active call or the existing callback window.
What to ask during a call
- “Read me my bank's lost-card number.”
- “What's the address of my hotel?”
- “Text me my hotel's address.” The text includes Google Maps and Apple Maps links.
- “Text my trusted contact that I lost my phone and need a ride.”
- “Connect me to my carrier's support number.”
- “Help me get a new phone.”
The assistant uses the details you've saved. For messages and calls, listen to what it proposes and say a clear “yes” to confirm. Say “no” or “wait” if it isn't right.
Connections and transfers both require clear spoken confirmation. An uncertain reply or a yes followed by “not now” does not start a call.
Call a business from a recommendation or itinerary. After phone sign-in, ask the operator to connect you to a business. Provide or look up its public source URL and number. The operator reads the business name, number and source before asking for a separate yes. Any other reply cancels; interruptions and expired previews require a new preview. Imported itinerary content never authorizes a call. You speak to the business yourself: no automatic booking or AI conversation. This uses the phone line, not a browser callback or chat call button. Failed calls are never retried automatically.
When the assistant connects or transfers you to a saved contact, the person who answers first hears a short introduction in English: that the call is from OperatorDirect, your name, that you lost your phone, and a few words on why you're calling. It never includes account numbers or anything from your vault.
Say “repeat”, “slower”, “hold on”, or “let me write this down” when you need more time.
On calls with live speech enabled, you can interrupt the assistant. If you interrupt a message or call confirmation, listen to the proposal again and give a fresh confirmation. If the voice connection changes, the assistant may ask you to repeat your request.
Save friends, neighbors, local services and taxis under People & places I call. The assistant can connect you to these saved contacts; they never receive messages.
To let your people know you're okay, turn on Send updates for trusted contacts with an email in your dashboard, then ask the assistant to send a status update. It reads the update and who gets it back to you and emails them only after you say yes. If recipients change, it asks you to confirm again. If one email fails, the other recipients are still attempted. The assistant tells you who the update was submitted to and who needs a retry. After you confirm again, retrying the same update skips recipients already sent the update. If email acceptance is uncertain, that address is not retried to avoid duplicates. Submission does not confirm that an email arrived or was read.
Persistent reachability and check-ins
Ask “What is Maya’s status?” in chat to see a trusted contact’s chosen update. They must first allow your signed-in OperatorDirect account to ask about their status. Email update permission alone does not grant access.
Change your status directly in the in-app chat. Try “Change my status to unavailable until 6 PM”. The operator asks about expiry and email notifications, shows the details, and saves only after you reply “yes”.
Open Your personal status in the dashboard to see your current report, its expiry in your home timezone, who can ask about it, and your email update recipients. This view refreshes every minute. Use “Update status with your operator” to change your report or sharing permissions in chat.
You can also set or clear your status and revoke a contact’s inquiry access right on that dashboard card. Saving there never emails anyone, and “arrived safely” can only be reported through your operator.
Say “Operator, I'm unavailable until tomorrow.” The operator clarifies the time in your home timezone, reads your status and expiry back, and saves it after a clear yes. Reports can last up to 30 days. Choose online, offline, safe, needs help, reachable, unavailable, unknown, or a custom status update of up to 280 characters on one line. Online and offline are chosen by the person, not automatic activity tracking. Explicitly say “I arrived safely” to check in. Status is user-reported, never independently verified. A trip ending does not prove safe arrival. After expiry, status is unknown; the operator never assumes you are reachable or safe.
Say “Allow Maya to ask about my status” to approve a trusted contact with their own OperatorDirect account at the phone number you saved. Listen to the account number and confirm. They sign into their own account, save you as a trusted contact, and ask “Is Jamie reachable?” Caller ID alone never grants access. Say “Stop sharing my status with Maya” to revoke permission after confirmation.
Family group. When you accept a family group invitation, the person who invited you is saved to your trusted contacts as “Family”, unless they are already there. You can edit or delete that contact like any other. Nothing of yours is shared until you tick Family next to an entry.
Dependents. In a family group you can add a dependent, such as a child or an older relative, who calls the line with their own number, PIN and passphrase but has no website sign-in. You choose and can reset their PIN and passphrase, you are saved as their trusted contact, and they hear what the family shares. Dependents cannot use website sign-in, including sign-in by phone, password reset, or phone account setup. If you leave the family group or remove them, their line is locked and existing calls lose assistant access to their Help Kit. Already-connected calls to other people are not hung up. Dependents always say their passphrase on scheduled callbacks; a guardian reset or re-add also requires full verification on their next ordinary callback. Only the original guardian can re-add the same number with new call secrets; their saved data is kept. Deleting the guardian's account leaves the dependent locked. Up to 5 active dependents per guardian.
When changing status, ask to notify your selected Send updates email contacts. The operator reads the status, expiry, and recipients back and sends only after your fresh yes. Inquiry permission and email notification permission are separate. These notifications describe your report, not verified safety. Failed or uncertain status-change notifications are not automatically retried.
If speech is not understood, you can repeat it, say “menu”, or press 0 for the saved-number menu. In that menu, say an option number (“option two”), category name, saved name, “repeat”, “more”, “menu”, or “assistant”; keypad choices still work. Unclear choices and repeats are bounded. Inside the saved-number menu, say “go back” to return to the previous selection step, “correct that” to clear a selection, or “start over” to return to the main menu. These controls keep you verified, require a fresh connection confirmation, and do not undo earlier actions or reset attempt limits. Recovery controls are limited to eight uses per call. Silence or an unrecognized choice in the saved-number directory gives a short prompt without restarting the menu. Say “repeat” or press 9 to hear the complete choices. Three consecutive empty inputs or three invalid choices end the call. An empty or low-confidence connection confirmation clears the selection; choose again before confirming. Spoken pinned-number choices always require a separate spoken connection confirmation. When several saved names match, the saved-number menu asks you to choose by full name or keypad number. Choosing a name does not connect a call; you still confirm out loud.
In voicemail review, say “record again”, “cancel” or “repeat”; sending still requires pressing 1. Website sign-in codes and outbound-call acceptance keys keep their existing safeguards.
If the assistant is down, the phone system tells you before opening the saved-number keypad menu. In that menu you can also say a saved name instead of pressing a key; you still confirm out loud before it connects.
After a failed call, you hear whether the line was busy, unanswered, canceled, reached an answering machine, or failed for an unknown reason. You can ask to try again, choose another saved number, leave a voicemail when offered, or do something else. No call retries automatically. A new attempt reads back the current destination and needs a fresh clear confirmation. After a failed call, even a pinned one-key shortcut asks for spoken confirmation. Unknown results do not establish a provider outage. If a request may already have started a call, further dialing stays blocked until its final status arrives; saved information remains available.

These saved-number menus work without the AI assistant. Choose a category, then choose a name to hear its number. Pinned numbers use keys 5–8 from the main menu. Within a long list, press 8 for more numbers. If you turn on One-key dialing in your Help Kit, a pinned number's key dials it immediately without a spoken yes; every other menu still asks you to say yes.
After a number is read back, say “Yes, connect” to call it (follow the equivalent prompt in your account’s language). A key press does not confirm a call. Private codes are not read in this menu. After the call ends or fails, you return to the menu. Press 9 to repeat, 0 for the main menu or star to return to the assistant.
Thank the person who lent you their phone
Once your immediate needs are handled, say “Remind me to thank the person who lent me this phone” on an English call. The assistant reads the number back and asks you to say “Yes, save the reminder” if the lender agrees to you keeping it. You’ll find it in your Help Kit when you regain access.
A separate offer reads a short thank-you text aloud. If the lender agrees to receive it, say “Yes, send the thank you.” You can decline the text and keep the reminder, or send it from your Help Kit later. No text is sent just because you saved a reminder.
Any repayment is arranged by you. OperatorDirect does not send money. Mark the reminder done to remove its saved number.
Alert your other devices
In Help Now, choose Lost my phone, then Send alert to my devices. When push notifications are configured, this sends a lost-phone notification to your registered Apple devices with notification permission. It does not locate or lock your phone.
Phone check-in
In Phone & profile you can turn on a recurring check-in call, every day, every 2 or 3 days or weekly. OperatorDirect rings your account phone at the time you choose and you press 1 to confirm you still have it. If nobody answers, we try up to 3 times, 15 minutes apart, then email you. The call never shares any vault details. The first call is at the next chosen local time; later rounds follow your chosen interval. Changing your time zone preserves the scheduled local date and time; any current retries stop and the next future round uses the new time zone.
You can also set it by phone: after you sign in, ask the assistant to turn on your check-in and say the time and interval. It reads the time back and sets it once you say yes, and we email you when it changes. Turning it off is done on the website.
Create an account by phone
Call 1-844-HELP-077 and, when asked for a phone number, enter star zero, then pound. Say your name, enter your mobile number, and type the six-digit code we text to it. Then choose a PIN of 6 to 10 digits and say a passphrase of at least three words; we read it back so you can confirm it. The text code proves the number is yours.
Have your mobile phone available to receive the code. At spoken steps, say repeat or cancel. You can begin by saying “create account” at the account-number prompt. Signup announces your current step out of seven, including after repeat or back. It asks one question at a time, reads back your name, and reviews the name, verified mobile ending and passphrase before a final yes. At speech steps, say “repeat”, “back” or “cancel”. At keypad steps, press star then pound to repeat, star one then pound to go back where safe, or star zero then pound to cancel signup. Repeating or going back never resends a code or resets verification attempts. Changing a phone number after verification starts requires cancelling and starting again. Signup PINs and text codes remain keypad-only, and invalid inputs and repeated navigation are bounded. Three PIN confirmation mismatches end signup without creating an account. You can correct the PIN before that limit; choosing another PIN or going back does not reset it. This does not lock an existing account. Repeating does not send another code. At the passphrase readback, say no to change it; an unclear answer keeps the same passphrase for confirmation. Cancellation creates no account. If the call drops before confirmation, call again to start over.
An account made by phone starts without a website password. Choose sign in by phone on the login page and approve it on a call. Then verify a recovery email and choose your first website password in the same browser. This is required before changing your PIN, passphrase or extra-sensitive settings. Each verification email expires in 10 minutes, and a new email replaces the previous link. If your email app opens another browser, copy the full link into the browser you signed in with.
Signup texts are limited to three per hour for the calling number and three per hour for the signup number, counted separately. Recovery-email setup allows three requests per account per hour and requires a phone-approved sign-in from the last 15 minutes. Phone-created accounts initially use Eastern time (America/New_York); check your time zone in Phone & profile before scheduling reminders.
If someone finds your phone
Your Voicemail page shows a six-digit finder code. Put it on your lock screen or case. A finder calls 1-844-HELP-077, enters star star, the code, then pound, and records a message. They never see your name or number, and a wrong code sounds the same as a right one.
If the code gets out, choose New code on that page. The old one stops working immediately.
We email you when a message arrives. Listen to it on your Voicemail page. Finder messages delete themselves after 7 days, and you can delete one sooner.
Get a new phone
Open your replacement plan in the Help Kit, or say “Help me get a new phone” on a verified call. Choose lost or stolen, broken, or an upgrade for steps covering phone insurance, choosing a replacement, moving your number and restoring account access.
The guide uses your saved carrier, phone insurance and recovery note titles. On a call, the assistant can offer to connect you to a saved support number after you confirm. You handle purchases, claims and activation with the provider. Account numbers, PINs and note contents still use the usual secure read-back checks.
Texting the line
You can text the OperatorDirect number, but it only replies with general public information. Text HELP for options, CARD (or CARD Visa) for lost-card numbers, or EMERGENCY followed by a country for emergency numbers. It never shares anything from your account by text and never asks for your PIN or passphrase; for that, call the line. Reply STOP to opt out.
Reminder calls
In your Help Kit you can schedule a call for a date and time in your timezone. At that moment OperatorDirect phones your account number and reads you the message you wrote, twice. If the call can’t go out within 30 minutes of the chosen time, the reminder is marked not answered instead of ringing late. You can set up to 20 at once.
You can also ask your operator in chat, for example “Call me tomorrow at 8:30 to take my medication.” It shows you the day, time and message and sets the reminder only when you reply “Set it”. You can also ask on a phone call after you sign in. The assistant reads back the day, time and message, says the call goes to the phone number on your account (not the phone you are borrowing), and sets it only after you say yes. Ask “What reminders do I have?” to hear the ones waiting. Remove a reminder from your Help Kit.
Safety check-ins
Ask your operator, on a call after you sign in or in chat, to “check on me at 9pm”. The assistant reads back the day and time and asks whether your Send updates contacts should be emailed if you miss it, then sets it only after you say yes. At that time OperatorDirect phones your account number and asks you to press 1. If you don’t, it tries once more 10 minutes later. If that is also unconfirmed and you chose to notify, those contacts get an email saying the check-in was missed, that this does not mean anything is wrong, and that your status is now unknown. Check-ins can be set up to 7 days ahead, you can have 3 waiting at once, and one that cannot go out within 30 minutes of its time is dropped instead of alerting anyone. Cancel them in your Help Kit or by asking.
Calls for later
On a verified phone call, ask “Call me back in half an hour” or “Call me tomorrow morning.” The assistant clarifies the exact date, AM or PM, and time zone before reading back the full calendar date, time, zone, destination number and purpose. Say “Yes, schedule it” after that readback to confirm. You can correct the time or number first; each correction gets a new readback and needs a fresh yes. Say “Never mind” to discard an unconfirmed request. Skipped or repeated daylight-saving times need a different, unambiguous time. An interrupted readback is repeated before confirmation.
Ask “What calls are scheduled?” to hear pending and recent requests with their status, or ask to cancel a specific waiting call. Cancelling a draft does not cancel existing requests. Repeated confirmations of the same arrangement on a call do not create another request. If a response is interrupted, ask for the list before trying again.
In your Help Kit, choose Call me now or schedule an assistant callback to your account phone. First verify your PIN and passphrase by calling from that phone, then submit within the verified-caller window. Confirm the displayed phone and time. When it rings, press 1 and enter your PIN; additional account verification still applies. Immediate requests usually start within 30 seconds.
Dashboard scheduling uses your profile time zone, from 2 minutes to 7 days ahead, and rejects skipped or repeated daylight-saving times. There is a shared limit of 5 pending or in-progress calls and a 2-minute wait between new dashboard requests. Refresh status after an interrupted request; resubmitting the same form does not add a call. Acceptance and a completed phone call do not confirm that the intended person answered. No automatic retry is made. Cancel while waiting; once placement starts, cancellation may be too late. Reminder calls and recurring check-ins are separate.
On a verified call, ask the assistant to call you back at a set time, on this phone or another number, or to connect you to a trusted contact at a set time, for example when they will be awake. The assistant reads the day, time, number and contact back and schedules it only after you say yes. Calls can be set up to 7 days ahead, 5 at a time.
At the chosen time OperatorDirect rings the number and waits for you to press 1. A connection then puts you through to the contact. A callback asks for your PIN, not your passphrase, and returns you to the assistant. If it can’t go out within 15 minutes of the chosen time, or nobody answers, nothing else happens. Ask “What calls are scheduled?” to hear them, or say “Cancel that call.”
Add information by phone
After account verification, dictate an ordinary note, preference, plan, to-do, or new contact. The assistant reads back one item at a time. Say yes to save it, give a correction for a new read-back, or say cancel to discard it. A delayed or interrupted confirmation needs a fresh read-back. Ask for a note by title, a contact by name, or your open to-do list to recall saved information.
Preferences and plans are saved as notes, not account settings or calendar events. Existing notes and tasks are edited in the Help Kit; you can dictate a new correction note. Corrections to an existing contact's phone or email remain suggestions for signed-in review. Do not dictate passwords, PINs, passphrases, verification codes, keys, or full card numbers.
Read-backs and save confirmations use your selected language. Phone numbers are read digit by digit on calls. If a request combines saving information with a call action, saving is deferred; ask again separately and confirm a fresh read-back. A yes to saving information does not also authorize a call action.
If a save result is unknown, check your Help Kit before trying again. Further information saves are blocked in that conversation to avoid duplicates.
To-do list
Keep a list of things to sort out in your Help Kit. On a verified call, ask “What’s left on my to-do list?” to hear your open tasks, or say “Add a to-do” and dictate one. The assistant reads it back and adds it only after you say yes. In the in-app chat you can also ask it to add a to-do, a note or a new trusted contact; it shows you the details and saves only after you reply “Save it” or “Add it”. Ticking tasks off and editing them is done in the Help Kit. A dictated note never keeps a full card number: if one is spoken or typed, the assistant declines to save the note and offers to keep just the card’s name and last four digits instead. The chat can also turn your daily check-in call on or off or change its time or interval (ask “Turn on my daily ping at 9am” or “Ping me every 3 days”); it saves only after you reply “Save it”.
Earlier chats are stored encrypted and shown above your current conversation until they expire. Use “Delete history” in chat to remove saved messages. Starting a new chat clears the assistant’s conversation context; the assistant does not automatically read earlier chats.
Trouble getting in?
I can't sign in to the website
On a borrowed or public computer, select “I’m on a borrowed or public computer” before password sign-in or requesting a phone sign-in code. Borrowed-computer mode is read-only: trusted contact names, numbers and emails, or bank and service names and numbers, stay hidden until you explicitly reveal that section. It signs out after 5 minutes without opening its page or revealing a section, and after 30 minutes at most. Use “Finish and sign out” before leaving. No persistent login is created, but browsers may restore session cookies; closing the browser is not a substitute for signing out. Account changes, AI connections, downloads and secret vault fields are unavailable. It cannot protect against keyloggers or screenshots or guarantee removal of browser history and saved data.
Use your account email or mobile number with your account password. Your phone PIN won't work as a website password.
You can also sign in by calling if you've already set up your PIN and passphrase. Request a browser code (if the page shows a human check, complete it first), call your help line, and follow the instructions on the page. After you verify and say “Yes, sign me in,” return to that browser and select Continue to Help Kit. Codes expire after five minutes. A locked phone line must be unlocked with password sign-in first.
If sign-in is paused after too many attempts, wait 15 minutes before trying again. Phone-line locks and website sign-in pauses are separate.
If you forgot your account password, use Forgot password on the sign-in page to receive a reset link by email. Changing your password in your Help Kit requires your current account password.
I forgot my PIN or passphrase
Sign in and open Line in your Help Kit. Choose Change PIN or passphrase to set a new one, using your account password to confirm.
Your existing PIN can't be displayed. To check your saved passphrase, enter your account password beside Spoken passphrase and choose Reveal.
The phone line doesn't recognize my passphrase
Wait for the tone, move somewhere quieter if you can, and speak your saved words clearly. If it asks you to say them again, try once more. Check that you entered your own account number and PIN.
If it keeps failing, check or change your passphrase in your Help Kit before trying again. Repeated failed verification attempts can lock phone access.
My phone line is locked
A lock after repeated failed verification attempts lasts 60 minutes. You can sign in, open Line, and choose Unlock now to unlock it sooner.
If you chose Lock my line now, it stays locked until you unlock it in your Help Kit.
Manage your saved details
Tracked action receipts distinguish confirmed saves, messages accepted for delivery (delivery is unconfirmed), messages not sent, unknown attempts, and drafts awaiting confirmation. If a message attempt has an unknown result, the operator will not send another message in that conversation. Check with the recipient before trying again. Calls involving action tools use a deterministic recap; other action outcomes are not verified by that recap. Check uncertain results before retrying. Receipts cover messages to trusted contacts and notes, to-dos, and contacts saved during that conversation.
Call summaries can include a Review suggested updates button in email and a plain link in an optional summary text. Suggestions can correct a saved trusted contact's phone number or email address. Sign in, check the previous and proposed values, then confirm each update. Opening the link never saves changes. Suggestions expire with the recap after 7 days; changed or removed contacts cannot be overwritten by an old suggestion.
What's a vault word?
A vault word is an additional spoken secret for fields you mark extra-sensitive, such as a carrier PIN or an ID number. The line asks for it when you request one of those fields.
Set it under Extra-sensitive fields in Line. Choose one to three everyday words that aren't part of your passphrase.
How do I add or back up my information?
Use the sections in your Help Kit to add or update details. In Backup, you can download a plain-text template, fill it in, then upload it and review the items before saving.
You can also download a copy of your Help Kit after confirming your account password. The downloaded file contains readable personal information, so store it somewhere private.
Store offer email aliases (optional pilot)
The store offer inbox is available to signed-in owners. Creating an address requires inbound delivery to be configured and confirmed by the operator. No store acceptance or discount is guaranteed. This is email only, with no SMS or voice/chat message retrieval.
Choose no automatic expiry or 1 to 365 days, and disable an alias yourself. Expiry and disablement permanently stop all new mail, including receipts, returns and account recovery. They do not unsubscribe you from the store. Messages already received remain for 30 days from receipt unless you delete them. Save important receipts elsewhere before the deadline. Stopped aliases cannot be reactivated.
Read and copy offer codes from the original plain text; codes are not automatically extracted or validated. Senders and offers are unverified. HTML, attachments and remote images are ignored. Do not send passwords, PINs or login/payment verification codes, or use aliases to bypass store eligibility rules.
Integration status
Your integration status page separates configured settings from recent evidence. Configured is not verified. Healthy means only the described event was observed within 15 minutes on your opted-in call; it does not guarantee the next call. Unverified services have no qualifying evidence. This page never starts calls, sends messages or tests paid services.
Connect your Claude account
When your deployment enables it, Connect your Claude account lets you add OperatorDirect to Claude as a connector: paste the server URL shown there into Claude’s custom connectors and, if Claude asks how it should identify itself, keep Claude’s published identity or choose Register automatically. You sign in and approve each permission separately: call history without call content, trusted contacts with masked phone numbers and emails, vault titles and categories only, and adding or removing a trusted contact after you confirm the exact change. PINs, passphrases and extra-sensitive vault fields are never shared. Each approval lasts at most one hour, and signing out, resetting your password or choosing Disconnect Claude ends it at once. Your Activity page shows when Claude connected, what kinds of things it read or changed, and when it disconnected, without any contact details.
Where separately enabled, Claude can request a confirmed owner bridge to one saved trusted contact or reviewed public business. It first shows the exact destination name and phone number, your verified owner callback number, the maximum duration and the cost/charge disclosure. You must explicitly confirm those details before any call starts. OperatorDirect then calls your verified number; press 1 to dial the destination and speak yourself. The connector does not conduct an autonomous AI call and does not accept arbitrary destination or callback numbers. It needs a separate calling permission; earlier read-only and contact-management approvals cannot place calls. If the result is uncertain, check the call status before trying again.
Where enabled, Claude and ChatGPT can request a separate permission to edit a trusted contact. You must confirm the exact contact and changed details each time. Editing needs a fresh approval; existing read, add or remove permissions never gain editing access automatically.
If a contact-change result is uncertain, your assistant must retry with the original request and unchanged details within 24 hours. It must not start a new change just because the reply was lost. After that, verify the saved contact before proposing another change.
Your phone assistant's existing calling and messaging abilities are unchanged by this connector.
Connect ChatGPT to your trusted contacts
When your deployment separately enables it, Connect ChatGPT lets you approve a contacts-only connection. Open AI Connections in your Help Kit to compare Claude and ChatGPT side by side. The page shows each assistant’s current account authorization, approved permissions and expiry when loaded, with separate disconnect controls. Choose ChatGPT setup for the provider-specific guide. The guided page explains Settings → Plugins in ChatGPT, sign-in and permission approval, and Check connection again. OperatorDirect must already be available to your ChatGPT account or workspace; a private development plugin is not a public installation link. Installing a plugin alone does not connect your account. If setup is missing on your phone, try ChatGPT in a browser. You can allow reading trusted contacts with masked phone numbers and emails, adding a contact, and removing a contact as separate permissions. ChatGPT must ask you to confirm the exact addition or removal each time. Approving a permission does not confirm an individual change. ChatGPT cannot place calls, read call history or access your vault through this connection. Editing requires its separate permission and confirmation of the exact change.
Each approval lasts at most one hour. Disconnect ChatGPT ends only your ChatGPT connection; Disconnect Claude ends only your Claude connection. Signing out, changing or resetting your password, or a server restart ends both connections. Your Activity page records ChatGPT connections, reads, confirmed changes and disconnections without contact details. Your phone assistant's existing calling and messaging abilities are unchanged.
Texting your operator
When conversational SMS is enabled, text the line for recovery guidance and public numbers. For saved contact and service numbers, connect a temporary SMS session while signed in. Re-enter your password only on the website and text the one-time code from the exact phone you approved. Access lasts 15 minutes.
The assistant can save fixed recovery checklist items after the next exact “Save it” reply. Sensitive Help Kit fields, contact messages, calls, rides and security changes stay in the secure app or phone line. Never text passwords, PINs, medical details, account numbers or booking codes. Text HELP for options, UNLINK to disconnect, or STOP to opt out. Message and data rates may apply. SMS availability depends on provider registration and setup.
Copy the complete LINK message from the website and send it within 5 minutes from the approved phone. Text messages must be 1,600 characters or fewer. SMS is text-only; photos and other attachments are not fetched or analyzed. Describe what you need in words. Text replies have up to 900 characters per page; reply MORE within 5 minutes for remaining text (up to 3 pages total). A new question clears remaining pages. MORE never confirms an action. Never send IDs, medical images, financial details or passwords. Audio, video and documents are not supported. Send one request at a time. If you get a busy reply, wait a moment and resend your latest request; it is not queued. Text RESET to start a new conversation. RESET also disconnects saved access, so connect again on the website for saved numbers. Message-rate limits still apply after RESET.
Put me through
After phone sign-in, say “create a channel called Family” or ask to list, mute, unmute or leave your channels. Confirm the exact name and change with a fresh yes, or say cancel. Duplicate names require a numbered choice. Creating a channel adds only you. Leaving a channel you own deletes it for everyone; the operator warns you before confirmation.
Invite by phone. Say “invite Alex to Family” to invite a saved trusted contact whose phone matches an eligible OperatorDirect account. A unique first name or saved alias works; if more than one contact matches, choose from the numbered options. Missing names are prompted one at a time. If a contact is missing, ask to add a trusted contact first. If their account cannot be found, check which number they use for OperatorDirect or ask them to sign up. Confirm the exact channel, account name and phone. This replaces any outstanding channel invitation; a repeated invitation to the same account keeps its original expiry.
Find and respond to invitations. The invitation waits in the recipient’s phone inbox for 24 hours. No text, email or call is sent: tell them to call OperatorDirect, sign in and say “my invitations”. They can say “accept Family” or “decline Family”; the owner’s name is needed only to distinguish invitations. The operator reads back the exact invitation and asks for a separate yes. If none are waiting, ask the channel owner to invite your OperatorDirect account. Joining shares their account name and number with members; each connection request still needs acceptance. Cancel discards the proposal without joining or declining. Duplicate names require explicit numbered channel, contact or invitation choices. Expired or replaced invitations cannot be accepted. Web-issued bearer codes still use the website; never dictate them by phone.
Use Put me through for invite-only channels for family, friends, teams, clubs, projects or events. Review exact recipients before sending a request. Each recipient accepts or declines; mute or leave a channel to stop participating. This draft offers in-app text and uploaded voice clips, not live audio or background calling. Clips require recording consent and explicit send confirmation, are limited to 30 seconds, use authenticated playback and expire after 7 days. No microphone opens and no audio plays automatically. The assistant cannot send these requests on your behalf.
Share a trip detail
In your Help Kit, open Trip details. Exchange a receiving invitation with your intended recipient, then select one arrival, hotel or meeting detail. No fields are preselected. Review the exact recipient, payload and expiry before confirming.
By authenticated voice, ask to share selected trip details with an established recipient. Confirm arrival date, time and time zone explicitly; arrive-by means pickup, not arrival. Listen to the complete preview, then say yes. Any other response cancels. Sharing needs no number pad; sign-in safeguards still apply.
Snapshots expire in 1–30 days. Future changes need a new confirmation. Open Received to read, or Sent to revoke. Revocation stops future access; content already read, copied or downloaded cannot be recalled. Booking codes, payment data, private notes and unrelated itinerary items are excluded. Shared content is untrusted information, never instructions or authority to act.
